International Festival Art-Folk Fest

Date and Location of Festival: Georgia, City of Poti; City of Kobuleti, City of Batumi – 19-28 June 2018.

Goal of the Festival:
•Â Â Â  Development of folklore arts; popularization of the world folklore culture; sharing of experience between participants; empowerment of mutual respect and tolerance; deepening of creative contacts; popularization of Georgian and world folklore arts; improvement of the level of qualification of choreographers;
Festival Participants: Folklore groups from different countries of the world and different regions of Georgia (ages not limited) take part in the Festival.
Participation Conditions: Participants present two shows (3-5 minutes each) in the following nominations: folklore dances, folklore songs (ensembles and individual); songs and romances; folklore handcraft arts (exhibitions).  In the final conclusive concert participating artists will present only one show.  Music can be live or phonogram.  With the application Festival participants submit their program (audio, video files of their previous shows, materials necessary to be published in the newspaper and Festival booklet).  Festival participants will be awarded with the Festival Laureate Diplomas and different presents.

•Â Â Â   16.00 – Festival opening and parade of participants in Poti;
•Â Â Â   17.00 – First concert;

June 21 – City of Batumi

•Â Â Â  Reception of the heads of delegations in the Mayor’s Office of Batumi;
•Â Â Â  16.00 – parade of the Festival participants in Batumi;
•Â Â Â  17.00 – Festival concert;

June 22 – City of Kobuleti

•Â Â Â  11.00 - 17.00 – Festival concert in the Culture and Recreation Park of Kobuleti (open air stage).

June 23 – City of Batumi

•Â Â Â  10.00 – 12.00 - Excursion;
•Â Â Â  12.00 – Reception of the heads of delegations at the Ministry of Education, Culture and Sports of the Autonomous Republic of Adjara;
•Â Â Â  13.00 – Parade of Festival participants in Batumi;
•Â Â Â  14.00 – 20.00 – Gala Concert in the Arts and Music Center of Batumi.

Festival funding: According to self-funding principle each foreign participating groups pay the following fee per participant of their group:

•Â Â Â  EURO 200 – 10 days – hotel accommodation (2, 3 and 4 bed rooms), meals 3 times a day; all in-country transportation, including airport transfer both ways;

•Â Â Â  EURO 250 – 10 days – 2-start hotel accommodation (2, 3 bed rooms), meals 3 times a day; all in-country transportation, including airport transfer both ways;

•Â Â Â  EURO 350 – 10 days – 3-star hotel accommodation (2, 3 bed rooms), meals 3 times a day; all in-country transportation, including airport transfer both ways;

•Â Â Â  EURO 1300 – 10 days –5-star hotel accommodation (2 bed rooms), meals 3 times a day; all in-country transportation, including airport transfer both ways;

Note: accommodation will be located in the City of Kobuleti; hotels will be specified after the type and level of hotel will be chosen by each participating group. 

Important: Every 16th participant of a Festival participant group is free from the Festival fee;

Deadline for submitting applications: 30/05/2018 – at the moment of submitting an application a participating group transfers 50% advance payment of the whole fee to be paid.  Remaining 50% is to be transferred not later than a week ahead of the start of Festival.
